On Monday's and Thursday's, our whole school (besides year 11-13) were working on our passion projects. In ours we have been making a digital sandbox.
Something that went well was that our box was perfectly made, nothing was breaking or falling out of place. Our whole group was contributing and helping.
Somethings that went wrong were that after we cut all of our pieces out, our pieces were misplaced and someone else used them. Also our computer graphics weren't strong enough to do what we needed it to do.
Equipment:
Xbox 360
Sanyo projector
Computer with linux
Sand box

Music video
This term (3), we put to together a ad, to enter it into a competition.
We recorded in several places, including, Dress mart, Hornby Hub, Cookie time, mega air and Kyle park.
We all split into different groups and went to different places and recorder, there were also different groups that had to do other stuff, like right a jingle, do the background instruments and all.
It took the class the whole of term 3 to complete this task because some days we had to wait a long time to hear back from the places we wanted to record, also Mega Air was closed the day we went there.
Overall, I really think that we did a great job recording/putting this together

Wood tech - puzzle
This term in Wood technology, we made a puzzle using three pieces of wood, one with a rectangle in the middle and one with a capital T and lower case t.
1.) We used a drill to drill out the holes for the piece of wood that has the rectangle in it, after that we used a chisel to get the insides out.
2.)After that we used a band saw to cut out the t's in the last two piece's of wood.
After this,we sanded it down to make it nice and soft.
3.) After all of that we made it look nice by putting poly urethane on it.

Maori myths
At the start of this topic, I watched a couple of videos of Maori myths, I also read a few Maori myths.
What I have learned from a lot of these myths is that there is messages behind them and that a lot of them have a different way of living life, because these are more important the bread.

Refraction
Aim:
To investigate how light is affected by changing the substance it is traveling through
Method:
Collect the equipment from your teacher and set them up to produce a single mean of light
Equipment:
Ray box, power source, glass or perspex block, single-slit ray slide
(Angle of incidence) (Angle of refraction)

Curved mirrors
Aim
To investiate the reflection of light rays in concave and convex mirrors.
Equipment
Ray box, triple-slit ray slide, concave and convex mirrors, power supply.
Method
1,) Set up your ray box, triple-slit ray slide and power supply.
2.) Place the mirrors on your book as indicated below. Place the ray box at the top of the page and shine the rays of light at the mirror.
3.) Ensure that the middle ray of light is hitting the mirror at a 90 degree angle.
4.) Carefully trace the direction of the three incident rays and the three reflected rays.

Bouncing light
Aim
1. To investigate how light behaves when it hits a plane/flat mirror.
Method
1. Collect a ray box, power supply and single-slit ray slide from your teacher, and set them up to produce a single beam of light.
2. Place a plane mirror on the diagram of the protractor as described below.
3. Vary the angle of incidence and record the angle of reflection in the results table.
Findings - The angle of incidence is the same as the angle of reflection.

Drama
What have I learnt? How to be a better actor.
How does this work show my learning? If we ever do a performance i'll know what to do and what not to do.
What did i find challenging? To be confident
What would i do differently next time? Peform
What did i enjoy? Doing it with a group of funny people
What am I wondering? Nothing
What was it like performing on the day? Looked like they were having fun!
