Butterflies - Patricia Grace

What king of language is used in this text?
Uneducated language, there aren't long sentences, there just short and sharp and doesn't really make sense. "Your teacher, she buy all her cabbages from the supermarket and that's why"

What is this text about? How do you know?
Butterflies, the tittle.

What does the author want us to know?
That butterflies kill your food. They eat the cabbage and then lay babies, which turn into caterpillars and you don't really want to eat that food.

How are characters constructed in this text?
Grandfather - He really likes his granddaughter and thinks highly of her.
Grandmother - Likes gardening
Granddaughter - Is very smart and knows whats good.
